HOW HORSES TRANSLATE HUMAN WORDS
The following human words are a translation by a horse:
LATCH: A type of puzzle.
LONGEING: Procedure for keeping a prospective rider at bay.
BUCKING: Counterirritant.
CROSSTIES: Gymnastic apparatus.
GRAIN: Sole virtue of domestication.
FENCE: Barrier that protects good grazing.
HITCHING RAIL: Means by which to test one's strength.
HORSE TRAILER: Mobile cave-bear den.
If you have any more to add, let me know and I will add it to the list.

Good morning Brigita,
Wow, I never really thought of those words like that...but I suppose they WOULD translate that way to a horse! lol (very clever and whimsical)
The fence protecting the better grazing is a good one.
The electric fence is definetly an attention getter - It would have to be translated to What the #@$% was that?!
This list could become endless... Thanks for the insight!
Farrier.. the man I get to lean on while he nails those awful things on my hooves.
Thanks for the laughter this morning. :)
I will pass this on to the folks we know that own horses . Thanks for the fun and different post
I am not much of a horse guy but recognize them when I see them. Funny
Cute. I do not have a horse, but that was entertaining
Rebecca:
We have to think like horses to keep one step ahead of them. LOL
Lorena:
I know there are many more. It's just a matter of compiling them in black and white.
Gail:
I'm sure many horses can relate to that. LOL
Charlie:
I know they will get a "kick" out of them. :-)
Steven:
You don't need to be a horse person to understand these terms. Glad you enjoyed them. :-)
Dinah:
Owning horses are not a requirement to be able to enjoy a "horse laugh".
Thanks for the humor this grey morning. I did find your post quite funny, especially the grain and the norse trailer
Vickie:
Glad I was able to brighten your day! :-)
Brigita - I like the "fence" and "horse trailer" definitions. I'm sure that's exactly how my horse thinks! :)
Debi:
With all the years of experience I've had with horses, I have learned much of their language. I know my Thoroughbred has a great time with the latch and the crossties. (He always needs to play and keep busy. I guess that's why he's so much fun.) :-)
LOL!!! Now I know what is meant by "Horse Sense"!!!
I can always use a good laugh!
your friend in Charlottesville!
Charles:
We all can use a good laugh more often. Laughing is good for your health! :-)
How about... Anything within reach - toy
Love your list, thanks for starting my day off with a smile.
Maxine:
That sounds familiar. Thanks for the addition to the list.
Starting the day with a smile is the best way to go! :-)
