Horsey Wordless Wednesday - It's Spring Cleaning Time Horsey Style!

It's time to do some spring cleaning at the barn

It is the beginning of April.  A good time to get started with some spring cleaning.  But guess who is doing the cleaning?  It's Pippa.  She decided to pick up the brush to get started at the barn.

Hmmmmm. Now where to start cleaning in the barn?

Now where to start cleaning in the barn?  Such decisions.

Pippa cleaning the stall walls of the barn.

Hmmmmm.   The walls would be a good place to get started.

Of course the stall floors need cleaning, too.

Of course the stall floors need cleaning, too,  Can't forget those.

I must say, at times, Pippa is such a great help at the barn.

Harry,

It depends on what way you look at it.

Cute, photos.  Maybe she should have started with the shovel for the biscuits

Good morning, Myrl!

The funny thing is, I never taught her to do this.  The one day she just took the handle while I was cleaning out the water bowls and started doing this.  I guess she's learning through observation.

Good morning, Ed!

She did try picking up the manure fork the one time when I had it leaning against the wall.  It didn't work out.  She just dropped in on the ground.

Hi, Nick & Trudy!

Thank you.  She is beautiful!  Believe it or not, she picked this helping routine up all on her own the one day.  Horses at times do surprise us.

Good morning, Kasey!

Pippa is also a "crumb sweeper".  She will clean up all the crumbs from the grain that drop to the floor or the side of the feed bin.  She makes sure she gets every little morsel up.
