November 20th is National Thank A Farmer Day.  So why do we thank a farmer and dedicate a national day for this?

Farmers are needed for many things.  They grow crops to feed animals and humans as well as supplying humans with the fabric for the clothes we wear.  Without these items we would starve and freeze.

Farmers and farming create jobs in manufacturing and transporting of goods that all of us need and want in out everyday lives.

Without farms, farmers and farming, we would have nothing to survive.  They spend long hours daily raising crops, tending to animals.  Their days begin early in the morning before the sun rises and sometimes into the night hours.

Thank a farmer today for the many hours they spend and the hard work they do to help humanity in various ways.  We need them.

Kristin,

Mark it on your calendar as a reminder.  I know if I don't, it slips past me.
