Horsey Wordless Wednesday - First Seasonal Snow On Farm In Eastern PA

First Seasonal Snow on the Farm in Eastern PA

Most of December in 2015, the weather in Eastern Pennsylvania has been more spring like with plenty of mud and rain.  Even Christmas Day we broke record high temperatures.  With the New Year, winter finally rolled in with the low temperatures and freezing wind chills.  Yesterday, we finally had our first real snow fall, even though it did not amount to very much.  The light snow covering did make the scenery look pretty.  Even the horses were out stretching their legs and munching on the hay in the freshly fallen snow.

Good morning Brigita. The weather here has been the same. My dogs frolicked in the snow this morning and then were happy to get in and warm. Love your horses.

Good Wednesday morning Brigita McKelvie -

Albuquerque has had some crazy weather as well.  We've enjoyed several snows and bitter night temps.

How about that National Football Championship!  ROLL TIDE ROLL

Hi, Sheila!

The horses have been stir crazy, ready to explode from all the energy they have.  Between the mud, then the frozen divots, they have been unable to run around.

Good afternoon, John!

Seems like the whole country has been truned upside down with the crazy weather patterns.

Hi, Kristin!

It wouldn't be so bad if it stayed cold so we could get used to it.  These warm/cold cycles are drving us nuts.

There is something about horses that I can't put my finger on but they fill my heart with gladness and joy.

Brigita, you must have gotten our share!  The snow in DC was barely a dusting and melted before morning.  Nice photo.

Sandy & Norm,

You are right about that.  It is in God's hands as to what our weather will be like.  This is one of the few things we cannot control.

Patricia,

You are so right about that.  As the saying goes, "God knew what he was doing when He created the horse."

Patricia,

I believe it was the same storm.  We still have a little white coating left.
