Rescued Cats Have a Home

Thought I would update everyone on the current status of the abandoned barn cats I blogged about back in  June.

I am happy to say that the 3 have found a new home at a fellow real estate agent's farm.  (She also happens to be a volunteer with the Animal Response Team and one of the volunteers that helped round up these cats.)  They have been nursed to health and their illnesses are being taken care of.  All are looking so much better and you can't even tell that these are the same cats.  They are extremely friendly.  The one even follows you around when you walk around the farm.  They even started doing their job of catching mice.

A big thank you to Carinna Vretmann for taking in these homeless cats.

Brigita, it makes me happy whenever I hear of abandoned animals can be rescued.  I particularly like to hear good stories about cats being saved - not everyone appreciates their individual personalities and elegance.

Brigita:

Thanks for sharing the info.  I'm glad 3 of them found a home.

I beleive all Realtors play the part of the Animal Rescue Volunteer at some point.

It's so sad that the pets get left behind sometimes.

If you are a Realtor and this hasn't happened to you yet, it will, so be prepared to either adopt them yourself of know of a good no kill shelter nearby.

That's how I ended up with my newest addition to our family! He's the sweetest thing, a mix up Pit Bull and Chocolate Lab, he will lick you to death!

 Isn't he adorable!

I was very happy to hear that Carinna had grown attached to the 3 cats and that she didn't mind keeping them.  I am a cat person myself and like their individual personalities.  They are quite silly at times.

Lorrie, your newest addition to the family is sooooooo sweet looking.  I am always glad to hear of animals being rescued and finding good, loving homes.

What great news!  We have 5 cats ourselves, so I know how quickly you can become attached to them.  I just love happy endings :)

I have a cat of my own which I had adopted.  She is quite a darling and quite a character.  She can also be silly at times.  Love her death.
