Dan:

That horse is my Thoroughbred, Eddie.  And, yes, it is a gorgeous area that he is boarded at.

Thanks, Dan!

Unfortunately, the only time he gets grass here is when I hand graze him.  But, the owners are working on fencing in a pastured area for the horses.

Brigita - Eddie appears to be a very happy, well adjusted, and lucky horse:-)

Sharon:

I have to say that Eddie does not snack when he has his bridle on.  He knows a bridle means work.

Myrl:

He certainly is.  He enjoys my company.  When I come to the barn and he sees me, he comes right up to me.  Or, do you think it's because he knows he will be getting grass?

Brigita - we have three pretty boys, Two that we adopted from the US Park service ... they were police horses in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, and a third who is a genuine pleasure and all the family loves to ride him!  They are great!

My daughter's pony, Jetty, is in heaven when we let him graze the fresh green grass. :)

The rest of the time we have to keep in in the starvation paddock, he is prone to laminitis. :(

Jen:

Ponies ten to be that way.  Thoroughbreds are the opposite.  They just can't get enough to gain weight.  I have yet to see a fat Thoroughbred.
