Blogging Works!!

I attended a public meeting a few days ago, where I was approached by someone.  She came up to me saying:  "I know you!"

I looked at the woman.  I did not recognize her and had no clue who she was.

She then continued to say:  "I have been reading your blogs.  They're great!  It's nice to finally meet you in person."

It was so nice to hear that.

So, here you have it!  Proof that the public does read blogs.

If you are not currently blogging, it would be a great idea to start.  It gets you out in front of the consumers without paying mega bucks in advertising.

So, let's get those keyboards clicking away!

We find that prospects do respond to localisms and posts that interest them. ActiveRain works for us and it will work for others that take advantage of the opportunities.

That is exciting. It's kind of like being famous--where we know them, and they don't know us!

Brigita - You have such a nice niche, I can see why she would recognize.  Your posts on horse-related things (what to carrry in your  horse trailor for emergencies, etc) are something I would follow if I were into horses.  Well done.

That is so great. You just sometimes thing or wonder if anybody is listening (or reading) but they are! ~Rita

I totally agree. I just started blogging about a month ago, and you are right, people actually now know who I am! Crazy!! It's like Melissa said, it's almost like being famous...

Blogging does work, but not at the expense of doing the other things that have always worked in our industry.

Just by looking at the stats of how many read the posts, tells you that you have no idea who the silent majority are until they contact you.

It's great when someone approaches us with that kind of a comment...it's happened to me, too, and it does make one feel prettyy good!    In this passive medium, where people can read us without ever communicating with us, it's very special when this kind of face to face meeting takes place/with that kind of recognition.

It is such a nice feeling when you meet your readers.  :-)  It is a very good way for the public to get to know you without meeting face to face.  This way, when they finally do meet you, they already know you.
