Horses Played a Huge Part in American History
Today is the Fourth of July. This is the day we celebrate America's Birthday.
Did you know that horses played a large part in American history?
Horses can be found throughout the years making history alongside famous man and women. The horses were used in the many wars fought such as Gettysburg, and the Civil War, sacrificing their lives for the freedom of our country.
The horses also helped the settlers move west and blaze many trails along the way. Many horses were used in the Pony Express to deliver mail across the country, risking their lives. Horses made travel across the country possible by transporting people via stagecoach.
The Wild West used horses to help mange cattle, help farm the land to plant crops, pull the wagons for families to get supplies, and so much more.
I could go on and on with the list. Goes to show how lafge a part the horses played in American history. So on this day, also remember the four legged creatures that helped shape America thoughout the centuries.
Wishing everyone a Happy Fourth of July! Enjoy and keep safe.
