It's time for the Northampton County 4H Fair (used to be called the 4H Round-up). This year it is held from August 10-12 at the 4H grounds just outside of Nazareth. There are many exhibits to see. Many different live farm animals (pigs, dairy, steers, rabbits, different fowl, horses, etc.) will be judged. There are also other projects displayed in the Blue Building, such as sewing, cooking, different gardening projects, horseless, etc.
In addition to the different projects, there will also be entertainment, games, fun and food. On Friday evening, there will be
a car show and Sunday is the 4H barbequed chicken (that's the best). Sunday is also the day of the Horse Show, which is quite interesting to watch. For a complete schedule of the fair, go to http://northampton.extension.psu.edu
Many of the 4H members prepare for it most of the year, by learning different things about their projects and getting their animals ready. 4H is no longer just agricultural projects. As I briefly mentioned, they also offer projects such as sewing, crafts, shooting (for the older children), cooking, leather crafting, seeing eye puppy, forestry, wildlife, etc. So, no matter what the interest, 4H most likely has that project for you.
So, whatever your interest, COME ON OUT and see the 4H Fair. You will enjoy yourself.
COME ONE, COME ALL!!!!! COME JOIN THE FUN!!
