Don't Let This Deal Pass You By

I was looking through the MLS for farms for one of my clients in the Lehigh Valley in PA.  I happened to come across one that is a great deal.

It is an 1800 sq. ft. farmhouse, 3 BR, 2 full baths, with a detached 2 car garage on 98 acres.  Looking at the price I took a double take.  The listing price is........$189,900.  WOW!!!!  I can't believe my eyes!  You can't get a better deal than that.  And the house seems like it is in good shape.  I looked further down to check out the list of features.  To my dismay, it turns out the property is only .98 acres.

Well, at least for a moment there, I thought I hit a bargain in real estate.

Missing Service Dog in the Lehigh Valley, PA area

Some of you in the area may have heard on the news that a service dog is missing the the Wind Gap, PA area.  She is a seizure dog and is trained to detect epileptic seizures in a person.  She is a light colored, medium sized, friendly Golden Retriever with a pink collar.  Her name is Blossom and comes when called.  She has been missing since last Friday, Nov. 2nd.  Anyone that has seen her please contact the local police.  If anyone has her in their possesion, please return her.  There will be no questions asked.  A reward is being offered for her return.  It is very important that she is found.

If you have seen this dog or know where she is, please notify the local authorities.

Let's all try to find this missing dog by getting the word out.  The more people that know, the better chance of finding her.

UPDATE:  BLOSSOM HAS BEEN FOUND.  She was found yesterday, Nov. 12, roaming around in the woods near Wind Gap.  She is in good shape except for having burrs and stickers in her.  Thanks to all who kept an eye out for her and helped spread the word.

Is the Home Haunted?

Everyone has been writing about haunted houses, so I thought I would put my 2 cents in about my experience in my home.  Let me start from the beginning.

Years and years ago, the home my husband and I live in used to be a funeral home.  It is an old Victorian home located within Nazareth, PA.  In the basement you can see where they stored the bodies and cremated them.  It gives you an eerie feeling.

Well, when my husband first moved in (this was before he and I even knew each other), he said that every so often, he would see a light on in the attic and a shadow of a lady.  Now the funny thing is, there are no lights in the attic and the only access to the attic is placing a ladder in the master bedroom.  After seeing it the first time, he checked the attic out and found nothing there.  He even said that at times in the middle of the night he saw a lady standing at the foot of the bed.  He had dismissed it as dreaming.

Another thing that keeps happening in the house, is the fact that there are times we will place something down and when we go back to get it, it is not there.  We will look everywhere for it without any luck.  Later on, we find it in another spot in the house.  Funny thing is, neither one of us moved the item.  Not only that, items, such as knick-knacks, have fallen off the shelves without anyone being near them.  How do you explain that?

Last Halloween, we were handing out treats to Trick or Treaters.  My husband happened to look out the window and told me a tall girl dressed as a colonial woman was walking up our walkway to the door.  I went to open the door and nobody was there.  I thought my husband was playing a joke on me, but he swore he wasn't.  There actually was someone walking up the walkway to the house.

One time we had a little girl, about 2 years old, over at the house.  She started talking to someone.  We asked her who she was talking to and she said: "The old lady there.  Don't you see her?  She is wearing a long dress."  This was not her imaginary friend.  She never had one.  This was a first time for her.

After all these incidences, you begin to wonder about spirits.  Some of the events are unexplainable.  A lot of evidence seems to point towards the fact that they do exist.

Trick or Treating for Adults??

Last night, October 31st, was Trick or Treat Night in Nazareth, PA and several other areas in the Lehigh Valley.  This is the time that many of the little ones go door to door wearing their costumes asking for treats.  I enjoy the many different costumes they wear.  Some of the costumes are cute and adorable.  Some are home made.  Some are even quite imaginative.

What I have noticed is the fact that grown kids are also Trick or Treating.  What I mean by grown, are teenagers in High School and early College.  I don't understand, why are they out begging for candy?  Doesn't that seem a little odd?  And, they don't even wear a costume.  For example, they put on an old shirt that is covered with splattered paint, or just put on a wig.

Now don't get me wrong.  I am not against Trick or Treating.  What I don't agree with is the fact that the so called "young adults" are going door to door seeking treats.   Are they so poor that they cannot afford to buy treats?  Shouldn't they be home studying or out working at a job?  Is it the same in other areas of the country?

Maybe adults, like you and I, should start to Trick or Treat.  I wonder how well that would go over.

Opinions, anyone?
